Overview
This project consists of producing an annual report that analyses and compares Portugal’s position in the international context, based on a thematic set of indices and rankings validated by organisations such as the OECD, the United Nations and the European Commission.
The report will make it possible to monitor relevant trends, supporting strategic decision-making and the formulation of informed public policies.
Objectives
Built on a careful selection of international indices and rankings, this project proposes the production of an annual report that presents a comprehensive view of Portugal’s standing in the global context through a cross-sectoral lens. To ensure the report’s relevance and credibility, a curation methodology will be applied, guided by the following criteria:
- Consistent methodology, favouring indices validated by international bodies or subject to scientific review (such as the Joint Research Center), with time series available for trend analysis;
- Thematic relevance, selecting indices and rankings aligned with strategic challenges identified in medium and long-term Strategic Planning Instruments.
Duration
The project began in 2025 and is ongoing with the production of an Annual Report.
